Mother’s Day in Encinitas (May 10) Treat Mom To Something Special
Fresh Flowers & Local Finds: Pick up a bouquet at the Cardiff Farmers Market (Saturdays, 10 AM–2 PM) or visit the Leucadia Farmers Market on actual Mother’s Day for fresh produce, artisanal goods, and local snacks.
Mother’s Day Weekend Art, Garden & Studio Tour: (Saturday & Sunday, 10 AM-4 PM) The San Dieguito Art Guild Hosts it’s 29th annual self-guided driving tour, inviting visitors inside eight private homes across North San Diego County. Orchids in the Wild (May 2 – June 1): Returning for its sixth year, San Diego Botanic Garden’s annual orchid showcase blooms anew from May 2 through June 1 with a new theme: Orchids in the Wild.Hosted in the 8,000-square-foot, glass-enclosed Dickinson Family Education Conservatory, the exhibition transforms the space into a lush, living landscape inspired by orchids in their natural habitats. Wednesdays@Noon (Every Wednesday, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM): The free concert series at the Encinitas Library was begun in 2012 to enrich the arts scene in Encinitas for residents, visitors, and cultural tourists from throughout the region. It has become the highest attended daytime series in the county with attendance of 160+ each week.
