Prost! Don’t Miss the Encinitas Oktoberfest on Sunday, September 27th

Encinitas Oktoberfest brings the best of Bavaria to the California coast. Expect authentic German food like bratwursts, sauerkraut, perogies and pretzels from Tarantino’s Gourmet Sausage and Taste of Poland paired with a stein of cold, crisp beer. Local and imported brews will be flowing, including traditional German lagers and craft beers from local breweries.
The Local Craft Beer Garden will celebrate San Diego’s craft beer scene and feature local breweries Burgeon Beer Co., Carlsbad Brewing Co., Culture Brewing, Fox Point Brewing Company, Society Brewing Company and the Tap Truck, dispensing beer from a 1921 Buick. Booch Craft will also be pouring. Carlsbad Brewing Co. will be exclusively poured in the Family Tent while Authentic Wine Selections will be poured in both tents.

German bands and local musicians will keep the atmosphere buzzing with energy. Don’t miss the traditional folk dances, which add an authentic touch to the celebration, and Bavarian music from the Our Song band. Dance troupes from The Gemütlichkeit Alpine Dancers and the Encinitas Ballet will perform, and a DJ will provide music at the Craft Beer Garden. Buskers will perform live throughout the festival, showcasing their talent. Participants in the Stein Holding Contest and kids’ games have a chance to win passes from San Diego-area attractions and museums.
Encinitas Oktoberfest isn’t just for adults; it’s a family and pet-friendly event. The Kids Play Zone area will offer games, crafts, and activities for kids, ensuring that everyone has a great time. From face painting to inflatable slides and a rock-climbing wall, there’s plenty to keep the little ones entertained while the adults enjoy the festivities. The crowd-favorite dog costume contest is back this year, where your furry four-legged companions can show off their best lederhosen and German-themed costumes and compete for fun prizes.
